On the 18th of May, a hastily arranged departure from Strawberry Island after collecting some tomato plants for my greenhouse, started with a cup of tea, as ever.
The plan was to go to the Boat Inn at Sprotbrough for lunch, and unusually it worked, a fine meal. A walk round Sprotbrough Flash, up the hill and down, about 3K. Then an ice cream and lots of puddings the girls had prepared before.
Lesley piloted us back to the Island like an expert. A beautiful day of mixed sun and cloud.
